A.F.Mosaici began with intention of keeping alive the ancient tradition of working stone by hand, from cutting to smoothing and the final finish with melted beeswax. We have developed futher expertise in the treatment of ancient and modern marbles, stone and terracotta, as well as working with tesserae of colored glass.
Our work shop guarantees expert craftsmanship in mosaic and stone inlay (tarsia, intarsio and cosmato), and we are able to satisfy a vaste range of requirements in the field of interior and exterior decoration, from fretwork, wall veneers, facings, and floor treatments to pools and basins, fireplaces and table-tops for indoor or garden use.
Over the course of our decade-long experience, we have acquired many new techniques and experimented with many new styles of execution in our efforts to help personalize our client’s environments.

Mosaic ( tesselatum ) using marble and glass tiles ( tesserae ) which can be as small as 5 millimetres on a side. Modern designs can be executed, as well as copies of ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine works.
