The aim of this course is to provide an introduction into the practical skills to required in each phase of creating a mosaic. From stone cutting using a mallet, and laying out mosaic tiles so that they are ready to be embedded in cement. Following a demonstration, students actively work to create a small mosaic project of their choosing, which at the end of the course they are able to take home with them. The course also includes information about other mosaic techniques.

The course is aimed at beginners who want to experiment with mosaic making as well as spending a creative weekend in the glorious Umbrian countryside.
